Italian passion for coffee since 1996
For almost three decades, Lucaffè has stood for enjoyment, quality, and innovation. From a small roastery on Lake Garda, a brand has developed that is appreciated worldwide for its exquisite blends, gentle processing, and sustainable packaging solutions.
The beginnings on Lake Garda
Lucaffè was founded in 1996 on the shores of Lake Garda – born from Gian Luca Venturelli's passion for the art of coffee roasting and his exceptional flair for creating the finest blends. From the very beginning, he pursued a clear goal: to create an unparalleled coffee experience through the careful selection of the best beans and the continuous improvement of processes.
From manual labor to success
Lucaffè's first steps were in a small warehouse. Venturelli personally carried the sacks of beans from Brazil from the port in Trieste, transported them with his van, and tirelessly dedicated himself to finding the best partners and sustainable solutions for importing to Italy.
Growth through passion
This dedication and drive for perfection allowed Lucaffè to grow steadily – from humble beginnings to a modern production site where highly developed machines process the beans with the utmost care.
Careful selection of the beans
Our commitment to quality begins with selection: Only ripe beans with perfect aroma make it into our roasting process. Unripe beans, which could produce bitter substances, are consistently sorted out.
Gentle roasting in hot air
The roasting process is gentle, taking place in a bed of hot air, which preserves the natural structure of the beans and their valuable essential oils.
Innovation in milling
Thanks to our innovative grinding process – without applying any pressure to the beans – we achieve the ideal grind for filter coffee, pads and capsules.
Sustainability in every form
Sustainability is not a trend for us, but a commitment: Our Nespresso®-compatible capsules are 100% biodegradable , and our pods are suitable for home composting . The high-quality containers are made of stainless steel – the second most recyclable material in the world – and provide an airtight seal to protect the coffee from moisture and oxygen, ensuring that its aroma and freshness are preserved for longer.
